Still enjoy drawing.

I began as a graphic designer in 1976. If you don't know what that is, in my case, it included doing design work for print, PPT presentations, animation and video editing. Most of this artwork was done on the computer, but I started when there was no apple computer and you actually had to be able to draw. All along I have been doing portraits on the side as a hobby. Now that I'm retired, I would like to continue drawing and make some spending money as well.

Most of the samples you see here are either pencil or charcoal. There are several reasons for this. I like working in these mediums and I think the lack of color lets you really see the textures and composition. Also this method is faster and so I can charge significantly less than what I would for a full color painting. The full color samples under Caricatures were drawn on the computer (except for Obama) and were very labor intensive.
